Python rescued after it gets caught in fishing net in central India

A python was rescued after it got caught in a fishing net in central India’s Chhattisgarh.

The incident is reported to have happened in Hasdeo Barrage, Darri in Korba district on February 17.

Visuals showed the snake entangled in the fishing net. It was taken into another area by snake-catcher Jitendra Sarathi, who eventually freed the reptile from the net. Sarathi picked up the net and brought it to a place when he bent and used a blade to cut open the net and free the snake.

He then carefully grabbed hold of the reptile and put it inside a black bag, before releasing it later into the wild. According to a report, the eight-feet long python scared people who had come to take a bath in the water body.

Sarathi was informed and he arrived at the spot to capture and rescue the reptile.
