Operation Sindoor sends unmistakable message on India’s zero-tolerance stand toward terrorism, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday emphasized that Operation Sindoor has sent a powerful and unequivocal message to the global community about India’s uncompromising stance on terrorism. He affirmed that his administration takes all necessary actions in the national interest without hesitation.

Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the 100th anniversary of the historic interaction between Mahatma Gandhi and revered social reformer Sree Narayana Guru, Modi highlighted how indigenously developed Indian weaponry played a crucial role during recent tensions with Pakistan, though he refrained from naming the country directly.

“No terrorist hideout is safe when Indian lives are at stake,” he declared. Modi said his government draws inspiration from Sree Narayana Guru’s vision of a strong, united, and discrimination-free India.

Reflecting on the government’s work over the past eleven years, Modi noted that the country has made substantial strides in strengthening its social, economic, and defence capabilities. He stressed that India’s dependence on foreign nations for defence supplies is rapidly decreasing, and the nation is moving confidently toward aatmanirbharta (self-reliance) in defence manufacturing.

He highlighted that Indian forces, using domestically produced weapons, executed precise strikes on terrorist locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir within 22 minutes in response to the Pahalgam civilian massacre, a move that, according to him, left the enemy stunned and forced into submission.

Modi also expressed confidence that Indian-made weapons will gain international recognition in the years to come.

On the development front, he pointed to initiatives such as housing schemes, access to clean drinking water, and health insurance programs that have empowered marginalized communities.

He further underlined that the expansion of premier educational institutions like IITs, IIMs, and AIIMS has accelerated during his tenure. “More such institutions have been established in the past eleven years than in the previous decades,” he asserted.

Modi’s address reiterated his government’s commitment to both national security and inclusive growth rooted in the values of India’s spiritual and social reform movements.
