A snake was rescued from a well by the forest officials in eastern India’s Odisha.

The incident took place in Adhikariguda Village in the Nabarangpur District on May 20.

Visuals showed a group of people gathered around a well. An official was seen getting inside the well with a rope tied around his waist. He slowly went down inside the well balancing himself with his two legs.

He had a stick in his hand with the help of which he was trying to get hold of the snake. The reptile initially fidgeted a little but finally, the official got hold of it. He was pulled up along with the snake and brought out of the well.

The official then held the tail of the snake in his left hand and put it inside a plastic container.
