Air force drill interrupted by bull on runway in northern India

A routine rehearsal of the Air Force was momentarily disrupted when a bull unexpectedly appeared on the runway following the landing of a C295 aircraft in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place on the Bharatmala Project Highway (NH 925A) in Sanchore on April 8.

Visuals showed as Garud commandos were disembarking from the aircraft after the landing of the fighter jet, a bull suddenly darted onto the airstrip. Before the bull could reach the aircraft, the commandos swiftly guided it away from the airstrip.

According to reports during the mock drill, several fighter aircraft successfully landed on the airstrip built on National Highway 625 in the Chittorgarh area. However, after the landing of the C295 aircraft, a bull suddenly appeared on the runway. During this time, the Garud commandos removed the bull using an emergency airstrip. The people present during the landing of the fighter aircraft also started shouting when the bull reached the runway. Before the bull could reach the aircraft, the Garud commandos chased it away from the runway.

According to information, on Monday morning around 10 o’clock, the landing of the Tejas fighter plane took place on the Bharatmala Project Highway (NH 925A) in Sanchore, Rajasthan.

In emergency situations, the emergency airstrip will be used. The Air Force has been stationed here for the last three days. The Air Force was present at the airstrip on April 6th and 7th, but the arrival from the service road was smooth. Due to the landing of fighter aircraft on Monday, the service road near the airstrip has been completely blocked. The airstrip has been handed over to the Air Force. The Air Force will use this emergency airstrip in times of war and other emergencies. The first emergency airstrip near the India-Pakistan border is about 3 kilometers long.
