Alert traffic police officer saves child who fell from electric auto in northern India

An alert traffic police officer saved the life of a child who fell from an electric auto in northern India’s Uttrakhand.

The incident took place in Cheema Chowk in Kashipur city of the Udham Singh Nagar district on June 11.

Speaking to Newslions, senior police official Narander Mehra said the incident took place at 1:44 pm.

Visuals showed an electric auto taking a left turn on a busy road when suddenly a child fell from the vehicle. A bus that was approaching the vehicle from behind, applied brakes at the right time after seeing the child fall on the road.

The auto too stopped while the policeman, identified as traffic constable Sunder Lal, rushed and picked the child up.

A woman, presumably the guardian of the child, was seen coming out of the auto and taking the child from the cop. She then moved back into the auto.
