Bear rampage in cashew grove sends farmers fleeing in southern India

Chaos ensued in a tranquil cashew grove as a bear stirred a commotion in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh, prompting terrified farmers to flee for safety.

The incident took place at Vajrapu Kothuru Mandal Tee Gaduru Village in Palasa Constituency of Srikakulam district on April 11.

Visuals showed a bear wandered through the cashew grove, its presence a fleeting disruption in the peaceful scene before disappearing into the wilderness.

According to reports a disturbance erupted in the serene surroundings of a cashew grove as a bear caused a commotion, startling farmers and prompting their hurried retreat into the safety of the nearby village. With panic gripping their hearts, the farmers hastily abandoned their work, seeking refuge from the unexpected visitor. Meanwhile, the sight of the bear sent shivers down the spines of the youths, their screams echoing through the grove as the bear leisurely made its departure.

Now the farmers are urging forest officials to take action and provide protection from future bear incursions, ensuring the safety of both themselves and their livelihoods.
