Campus clash escalates into serious violence at college in western India
A recent unsettling event occurred in western India’s Maharashtra, a violent altercation erupted between two student groups.

This incident took place at  DY Patil Engineering College in Lohegaon in Pune city on May 8.

From the visuals people were seen holding sickles, which has raised concerns among students. Both groups involved have reported the incident to the Dighi Police Station, heightening tensions at the school.

Two factions of college students engaged in a physical altercation, resulting in both groups filing complaints against each other at the Dighi Police Station. The college atmosphere remains tense following the incident. This comes shortly after the same group was observed attacking a shopkeeper in Muhammadwadi. The incident reportedly took place on May 5 at 8:44 pm. The video shows three masked individuals assaulting the pan shop owner and damaging items with Koytas. The shopkeeper can be heard calling for help as the assailants ransack the small shop.
