Car gets washed away while crossing stream, driver rescued by SDRF in southern India

A car got washed away while crossing a stream in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh.

The incident took place near Hathibelagal village in Alur Mandal in the Kurnool district on June 5.

Visuals showed a group of people gathered around a car that was partially submerged in water. The car was tied to ropes that were being used by a bunch of locals to pull it out of the water.

Speaking to Newslions, Circle Inspector of Police, Eswaraiah, said that heavy rain lashed Alur Mandal, leading the stream to flood.

On receiving the information about the car washing away, the Superintendent of Police Ch. Sudheer Kumar Reddy along with his team went on the rescue mission.
