The aftermath of scorching summer temperatures in Telangana took a dramatic turn as heavy downpours engulfed various districts on Sunday. In the rural outskirts of Vikarabad district, a group of four individuals found themselves in a perilous situation when their car succumbed to the force of the overflowing stream, barely escaping with their lives. The torrential rains, which pounded the region relentlessly, led to the dangerous surge in water levels, catching many commuters off guard.
Amidst the chaos, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad issued warnings of sustained rainfall, urging residents and authorities to remain vigilant. The unexpected deluge not only disrupted daily life but also posed significant challenges for emergency responders, such as the GHMC DRF teams in Hyderabad.
Despite the adversity, these teams worked tirelessly to clear fallen trees and debris from various locations across the city, ensuring the safety of residents amidst the tumultuous weather conditions.
