Chilling moment bridge collapses in northern India due to heavy rainfall

A bridge collapsed in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh after heavy rainfall led to a river being in spate.

This incident happened in Kiratpur village, near the New Pinjore-Surajpur and HMT Bypass on July 10.

Visuals showed the chilling moment when the bridge collapsed amid pressure being put on its pillars by the raging waters beneath. Water below the bridge gushed and struck the pillars hard before one of it collapsed, leading a portion of the bridge to break down and crumble as it went into the water. Fortunately, no one was seen at that part of the bridge when it broke down and people were standing at one end of it.
