A Railway Protection Force (RPF) policeman came to the rescue of a passenger who had slipped while boarding a moving train and was about to go into the space between the vehicle and the platform, in eastern India’s West Bengal.

This incident happened at platform 21 of the Howrah Railway Station on October 10.

Visuals showed the moment when the cop pulled off this heroic rescue. The man rushed towards the train (Puri Vande Bharat Express) and tried to board it as it was still moving. But he slipped and fell on the platform, with him being dragged by the train. The cop noticed this from a distance and ran towards the man before pulling him out of harm’s way. The officer was later known to be Assistant Sub-Inspector Shri Binod Kumar Choudhary.
