Cops save four women from drowning in southern India

Policemen came to the aid of four women who were drowning after having come for Ganesh idol immersion in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh.

This happened in Vadarevu beach in Bapatla district of the state on September 21.

Visuals showed the police officer rush to the aid of the women who were drowning. The cops rushed to the area in the beach where these women were stranded. One of these policemen were seen running and then swimming to get to these ladies and save their lives. A crowd soon gathered at the spot. As per a report, these women had arrived from Chilakaluripeta and had come to the beach to immerse the Ganesh idol when they drowned while taking a dip. S. Prasad, constables A. Naresh and S. Chiranjeevi and home guard V. Pothuraju were the ones who heard the screams of these four women and rushed to their aid. These women were then handed over to their relatives.

After this incident, the security was beefed up in the area and the police instructed that the pilgrims, who came for idol immersion, should follow the instructions of the authorities.
