This incident happened in Barabanki district on September 11.
Visuals showed the fire department officials rescuing the child from a flooded area. The child was tied to the official who conducted the rescue operation. He was then seen climbing up a steel ladder that was attached to a wooden ladder.
Two men held the ladder underneath as the official, with the child attached to him, moved up.
The child and his family was settled on the bank of Jamuria.
Heavy rainfall has already wreaked havoc in several regions across northern India this monsoon with many areas being left flooded, affecting lots of people.
