Fire erupts again at garbage plant, poisonous smoke affects nearby villages in northern India

A fire broke out once more at the Bandhwadi garbage plant in northern India’s Haryana, leading to significant distress among residents of nearby villages due to the toxic smoke.

The incident took place in Gurgaon on June 1.

Visuals showed the smoke coming out of the garbage plant.

This incident has raised serious concerns about air pollution and public health in the area. Local authorities, including the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB), and the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, have been alerted. The National Green Tribunal (NGT) is also expected to investigate the situation further.
