Hoarding falls on vehicle due to strong winds and heavy rainfall in western India

A massive hoarding fell onto a vehicle due to strong winds and heavy rainfall in western India’s Maharashtra.

This incident took place at the Ubade Nagar bus stop at Wagholi, Pune on April 17.

The scene captured in the visuals depicted the aftermath of the hoarding collapse, revealing the extensive damage caused by the incident. The towering structure had been forcefully brought down by the relentless force of the harsh winds, crashing onto the top of a vehicle below. The impact of the collision was evident, with debris scattered across the area.

Accompanying the wreckage was the presence of widespread flooding, a result of the heavy rainfall that had inundated the surroundings. Water pooled in the streets, creating hazardous conditions for both pedestrians and vehicles navigating through the area.

In response to the calamity, a crane was mobilized to the scene, its towering arm poised to lift the massive hoarding from atop the vehicle. The coordinated efforts of the rescue team aimed to mitigate further damage and restore safety to the affected area.

Reports indicated that the havoc wrought by the inclement weather extended beyond the hoarding collapse, with several trees succumbing to the fierce winds and falling onto vehicles. Instances of damage were reported in various locations, including Kharadi, Manjari, Vadgaon Sheri, and Shukrawar Peth areas, underscoring the widespread impact of the severe weather conditions.
