Leopard rescued from well in western India

A male leopard that fell into an uncovered well got rescued in western India’s Maharashtra on April 7. The incident took place in the Deulgaon Raja Forest Range.

Visuals feature the leopard struggling to stay afloat inside the well. Following this, the rescuers lower a cot and a cage inside, managing to trap the mammal in it. Then, they pull the cage up to safety and later release the big cat into its natural habitat.

The forest officials reached the spot upon receiving information and swung into action. Finally, the team rescued the big cat and released it after a three-hour-long operation.
