Man falls into a water sump built underground at hostel in southern India
A man lost his life after he fell into a water sump built underground at a hostel in southern India’s Telangana.
The incident took place in Anjaiah Nagar at Raidurgam Police Station, Hyderabad on April 21.
Visuals showed the man entering the building when suddenly he fell into the sump. A man standing nearby rushed to help him. His wife and two other children were also present at the scene of the incident.
In a heartbreaking incident, 25-year-old software employee Shaik Akmal Sufuyan met with a tragic end when he fell into an underground water sump located at a hostel in Anjaiah Nagar, under the jurisdiction of Raidurgam Police Station.
The tragic incident occurred due to the uncovered lid of the water sump, leading to the victim sustaining critical head injuries when he fell in, tragically resulting in his death. The Raidurgam police have responded by initiating legal action against the hostel owner, citing negligence in ensuring safety precautions, particularly for failing to secure the lid of the sump. This oversight has prompted authorities to hold the responsible party accountable for the unfortunate consequences of their negligence.
