Miscreants brutally attack woman in northern India
A woman was being dragged and beaten with bricks and stones by two men in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.
The incident took place at Leverua village in Chandvak area of Jaunpur on May 24.
Visuals showed two men brutally attacking a woman.The video clearly depicts the woman being dragged on the ground and mercilessly beaten with bricks and stones by the assailants. Despite the woman’s desperate screams for mercy, the attackers, identified as Pawan Kumar and Santosh Kumar, sons of Harilal, continued their assault.
A case has been registered against three individuals under sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code.
The victim approached the district headquarters on Friday morning and submitted a complaint to the Superintendent of Police, demanding strict action against the perpetrators. In her complaint, she mentioned that the accused frequently instigate conflicts without any reason. Taking advantage of her being alone, they hurled abuses at her, dragged her to the ground, and beat her with bricks and stones, threatening to kill her family if she reported the incident.
The woman further stated that the assailants had attacked her family multiple times before, leaving them terrified and fearing for their lives. She urged the authorities to take the viral video seriously and take stringent action against the accused, who continue to roam freely despite the grave nature of their crimes.
The video has left viewers shocked and has prompted widespread calls for justice and the immediate arrest of the attackers.
