Officials conduct search for missing person after vehicle accident in northern India
by Komal KashyapFollowing a vehicle accident in northern India’s Uttrakhand, SDRF launched a search operation for a missing individual.
The incident took place at Koti Icchadhi Road in Dehradun district on August 12.
Visuals showed the SDRF team member descending into the river from a considerable height to search for the missing individual. Using a rope, they initiated their search operation, while the person began using a search beacon to scan the surroundings.
According to reports, a local caller informed SDRF that during the night, a vehicle had met with an accident in the Tons River on the Koti Icchadhi Road near Chhibaro Power House.
A family member of the person in the vehicle is missing, and a search operation by the SDRF team is required.
Upon receiving this information, ASI Suresh Tomar from the Post Dakpathar along with the SDRF rescue team reached the incident site with the necessary equipment.
The SDRF team has marked the accident-stricken vehicle in the river and is conducting search operations around the vehicle and nearby areas.
The missing person has been identified as Padam, son of Khimdas, aged 29, residing at Bhategarhi, Tyuni, Dehradun.
