Officials rescue driver after truck falls into ditch in northern India

A driver of a truck-trailer was rescued by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) officials after the vehicle fell into a ditch in northern India’s Uttarakhand.

This incident happened in Devprayag, Tehri district on December 3.

 

Visuals showed the SDRF officials at work as they attempted to rescue the victim. The driver was put on a stretcher and it was tied properly before being picked up by a crane. The driver was then seen being stretchered into the back of an ambulance as he was rushed to get medical help.

According to a report, the Tehri district control room informed the SDRF about the truck-trailer that lost control and fell into a ditch. The vehicle was coming from Srinagar and headed towards Rishikesh when this deadly accident happened. The driver was the only one present in the vehicle and he was rescued with a lot of difficulty. Identified as a 24-year-old named Deep Chand, the driver was rushed to the hospital after he was saved.
