Police seize petrol bombs during search operation in southern India
Police seized 50 petrol bombs, stones, sickles, and two sacks of broken liquor bottles in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh.
The incident took place in Pinnelli village of Palnadu district on May 16.
Visuals showed police placing the 50 petrol bombs, stones, sickles, and two sacks of broken liquor bottles on the ground.

Superintendent of Police Bindu Madhav Garikapati stated that these crude and homemade weapons were discovered in two houses in the village.

“Given the tense situation, we decided to conduct a thorough search of all the houses in Pinnelli village in Machavaram mandal. We found broken beer bottles in one house and bottles filled with petrol and wicks in another,” said Garikapati in a video statement released by the district police. He added that the weapons were seized from two houses, resulting in the detention of C Peddasaida, C Nanne, Allah Bakshu, C Jany Basha, and Tanda Pedda Nanni.

The police are also searching for the accomplices of these individuals, who are suspected of organizing the weapons. Garikapati mentioned that they received information about a person suspected of making petrol bombs in a house and expressed confidence that the individual would be apprehended soon. He noted that two cases will be registered, and the detainees will be remanded.
