Recurring avalanches blocks several parts of major pass in northern India

Several parts of a major pass was blocked due to recurring avalanches in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir.

This incident happened at Zojila pass on April 1.

 

Visuals showed the whole area in this pass covered with thick snow. The paths were completely blocked as a result and excavators were used to clear out the now.

The heavy machines were deployed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) were seen at work as they attempted to remove all the snow and restore movement on this road again. It was learnt that there have been continuous snow avalanches which has led to the path here blocked for four days.
