Rescue officials come to the aid of men who were trapped inside 50-foot deep well in northern India
Officials of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) came to the aid of two men who had gotten trapped inside a 50-feet deep well in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh
This incident took place in Cholapur police station area in Varanasi on November 14.
Visuals showed the rescue operation in progress with the officials doing their best to pull out these men. One of the two was taken out with the help of a rope. According to a report, initially one had fallen into the well and the other also got trapped inside after he had delved inside in a bid to rescue him. The information reached the district administration and the NDRF in Gautam Buddha Bhawan was informed as well. They rushed to the spot and conducted the rescue operation under the direction of Deputy Inspector General Major Kumar Sharma. With the help of the rope rescue technique, they pulled out both the men.
One of them, identified as a 40-year-old named Sunil Ram was taken out in a conscious state while the other, 65-year-old Ramchandra Vishwakarma was rescued in an unconscious condition. He was rushed to the hospital with the help of the police officers.
