Rescue officials come to the aid of stranded people due to waterlogging in northern India

State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) officials came to the aid of people who were stranded due to waterlogging in northern India’s Uttarakhand.

This incident happened in Laksar area, Haridwar district on July 12.

 

Visuals showed the rescue officials at work as they saved the stranded people in the flooded area. Despite the rough weather, the officials didn’t deter as they used a lifeboat to wade through the flooded area and rescue the people. The whole area was considerably flooded and beating all challenges, they were finally able to complete the rescue operation.

According to a report, the rescue team was led by Pravindra Dharmana and they rushed to the spot after receiving information about the trapped people, with adequate equipment to save them. Incessant rainfall had led to increasing floods in the area as a result of which the people were distraught and afraid until the SDRF team arrived and conducted the operation.

With the help of a raft, they were able to save several trapped families. From the elderly to the small children, the SDRF team rescued the people with caution and determination.
