SDRF officials rush to aid of two after scooter loses control and falls into ditch in northern India

Officials of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to the rescue of two people who were on a scooter which had lost control and fell into a deep gorge in northern India’s Uttarakhand.

This incident happened near Khankra, Rudraprayag on January 28.

 

Visuals showed the SDRF officials rescuing the victims of this accident. The officials carried the victims through the rocky terrain on stretchers and were seen putting them into an ambulance.

According to a report, the two people on a scooter were headed from Srinagar in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir towards Rudraprayag when their vehicle lost control and fell into the gorge which is 150 metres deep. The information about this accident soon reached the SDRF and a team of officials with chief constable Ashish Rawat left for the spot to save the victims. With the help of the locals, the SDRF officials were able to rescue the two people from the ditch via an alternative route and send them for treatment at the hospital. The victims of this accident were identified as Ankit (28) and Shri Vipin (30). Both are residents of Rudraprayag.
