Truck driver rescued after cloud burst triggers flash flood in northern India

A truck driver named Raj Singh was rescued by the police and locals after his vehicle was trapped in a flash flood that happened as a result of a cloud burst in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir.

This incident happened in Banglah Nallah of Chirala Tehsil of Doda district on July 22.

 

 

 

Visuals showed Singh being escorted through the water to safety by a local and a policeman. The driver had a rope tied to his waist with the cop behind him holding on to it. Water flowed in a pretty strong current in the area and it was a risky operation altogether. As per a report, it was also learnt that a stretch of Thalela Chirala link road was also washed away by the raging waters of the flash flood. As a result of this, there has been a disruption of traffic in the area.
