Vigilant cop rescues passenger who fell while trying to get off moving train in eastern India
A vigilant cop rushed to the aid of a passenger who fell while trying to get off a moving train in eastern India’s West Bengal.
The incident happened on platform number 2 of the Durgapur railway station on September 5.
Visuals showed the passenger falling precariously into the gap between the train and the platform as he slipped while getting off the moving vehicle (number 03535).
He fell down with a thud on the ground and was slowly sliding into the gap between the train and the platform when the vigilance of Sub-Inspector (SI) Shishir Kumar saved his life. The cop, in civil uniform, quickly rushed towards the passenger and pulled him out along with his luggage.
Later, the rescued passenger was given first aid at the Railway Protection Force (RPF) post.
