Youngster nets goal from sensational corner kick in northern India
A teenage boy left everyone amazed when he scored from a corner kick during a football match in northern India’s Uttarakhand.
The incident happened at the Munsiyari village on June 5.
Visuals show the boy, named Hemraj Johri, nailing a fantastic corner kick. He takes a few steps back and comes up with a shot that sees the ball curl into the goal.
The goalkeeper tried his best to reach for the ball and stop it but to no avail.
Johri instantly set off to celebrate the goal with his teammates. It has been learnt that he plays for the Munsyari Boys Football Club. His father works as a tailor.
This goal was from a match between the Munsyari Boys Football Club and Baniya Gaon. His team scored nine goals in the game, out of which, five came from Johri. Such was the 15-year-old’s impact on the game. The opposition meanwhile, couldn’t score even one goal.
It was learnt that the youngster has been training hard for the last five years. He practices twice every day at the Munsiyari Boys Football Club, which trains around 200-250 children out of which 30 are female players.
Young Hemraj wants to be a good footballer when he grows up and at such a tender age, he is showing the right signs.
