Alert cop rescues girl trying to take her life on railway track in northern India

Government Railway Police rescued a girl who was committing suicide on the railway track in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place on platform number 1 at Gonda railway station on July 6.

 

Visuals showed the woman running on the railway track while the train was about to reach the station. Suddenly, a GRP officer rushed towards her and pushed her away from the track where the train was approaching.

According to reports, the 22-year-old girl, a resident of Gonda City, told the GRP that she was having an affair with a boy. He is a resident of Chhattisgarh. Talked to him on the phone in the morning, so he didn’t talk properly and in the evening the boy told the girl that now he will never talk to her again.

They had met several times before this incident. The boy has cheated on her. Hurt by this, he decided to commit suicide. She had left home to die and then reached Gonda station.

The name of the brave GRP officer is Vipin Pandey. He is posted at Gonda station as a constable.

He said, “That girl was running very fast. When I caught her, she kept saying leave me, I don’t want to live anymore. He was given water after being removed from the railway track.”

After asking the girl’s personal information she has been handed over to her family.
