Alert cop saves elderly woman, son trying to board moving train in eastern India

An alert cop saved the life of an elderly woman and her son who tried to board a moving train in eastern India’s West Bengal.

The incident took place at Bankura Railway Station on August 6.

Visuals showed an elderly woman and a man rushing to board a moving train when they lost their balance and slipped. The cop and a few other people were seen rushing towards the victim to save them. The cop immediately reached the spot and pulled the victims away from the moving train.

Speaking to Newslions, Divisional Security Commissioner Debojyoti Chatterjee said that LC. K. Teja of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) saved the 68-year-old woman and her son from falling under the moving train. The incident took place on Platform number 2 when the victims were trying to board the JYG-PURI Express.

The train guard was informed about the incident by the RPF and the two people finally boarded the train after being saved.
