Auto-rickshaw swept away in swollen river, driver rescued using ropes in southern India

In a tragic incident, an auto-rickshaw trying to cross a flooded river was seen getting swept away in southern India’s Telangana.

The incident took place in the Janagama district on July 27.

The visuals of the incident showed an auto-rickshaw attempting to cross a flooded road due to a swollen river flowing over it that suddenly got overturned due to heavy currents in water. The road was situated on the causeway between Nakkavanigudem-Konne villages and when the vehicle was coming towards Bachchannapet, the driver lost control and fell into the water. The locals rushed to the spot and began rescuing the driver using ropes.

The driver was successfully rescued and was brought to a safe place.
