CCTV footage captures explosion of Chemical factory in western India

CCTV footage captures the precise moment of a boiler blast in western India’s Maharashtra.

The tragic event unfolded at the Dombivli MIDC complex in Thane district on May 23.

Visuals showed footage from various areas where people could be seen running for their lives after the massive explosion.

According to the reports, the incident resulted in the loss of eight lives, with many among the 64 injured in critical condition. The explosion occurred at Amudan Chemicals Pvt Ltd, a chemical factory specializing in basic chemicals, highlighting the dangers associated with industrial accidents. The force of the explosion had been substantial enough to cause injuries to workers in four adjacent factories.

Additionally, other factories such as Omega Fine, Saptavarne, Deccan Colour & Chemicals Pvt Ltd, and Cosmo Co. had suffered damage. Furthermore, the windows of nearby residential buildings had been shattered.

The injured individuals were swiftly transported by the fire brigade and police to nearby hospitals including Neptune, Mamata, Aurindam, Gajanan, AIMS, Ashirwad, Shivam, Icon, and Shastri Nagar government hospitals.
