Container carrying cement gets stuck in flooded area in northern India

A container carrying cement was left stranded after it tried to cross a heavily-flooded area in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir.

This happened in Samba district of the state on July 26.

Visuals showed the trapped cement container in the flooded area. Portions of the vehicle were severely damaged as it laid in a precarious position inside the flooded area as people checked on it. The water level in the whole area had risen due to heavy rainfall. It was learnt that the cement container had collided with the fence surrounding the drain and overturned into it. The driver of the vehicle was reportedly rescued from this after a lot of hard work.

It was also learnt that the container was carrying cement from Punjab. The vehicle was part of a company working on the Delhi Amritsar Katra Expressway on Jammu Pathankot National Highway.
