Cop’s vigilance saves life of woman who lost her balance while boarding moving train in eastern India

cop’s vigilance was on show as it helped save a woman who lost her balance while boarding a moving train in eastern India’s West Bengal.

The incident happened at the Kharagpur railway station on December 11.

Visuals captured in CCTV showed the woman hurriedly trying to board the moving train (Udaipur City Shalimar Express) when she lost her balance. She managed to hold on to the handle at the train’s gate and was in a precarious position while being dragged by the vehicle.

ASI JK Giri, who was standing at the spot of the incident, watched the woman all along as she was trying to get into the moving train and instantly rushed to her aid after he had lost her balance. He then helped push her into the train, preventing an accident.
