Elephant blocks path, forces car to retreat in southern India

An elephant came out on the road and blocked the path of a car, forcing it to retreat in southern India’s Tamil Nadu.

The incident is reported to have happened between Mettupalayam in Coimbatore district to Kotagiri in Nilgiris district on March 6.

Visuals showed the elephant blocking the car’s path and walking towards it, forcing the vehicle to back track. The tusker then came close to the car and the vehicle seized this opportunity to speed away from the spot. Fortunately, neither the elephant nor anyone inside the car was hurt in this incident.
