Fire officials rescue owl trapped on a tree in northern India

Officials of the Rae Bareli fire and emergency services rushed to the aid of an owl which was stuck in a branch of a tree in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.

This incident happened on a tree near Vedic Inter College bus stop in Rae Bareli on January 13.

Visuals showed the bird hanging from the tree with one of its wings caught in a branch.

An official used a ladder to climb up the tree and poked at the branch to free the bird.

He then caught hold of the branch along with the owl on the stick and freed the bird.

Their timely action helped save the life of the bird, who otherwise would have either remained trapped and potentially could have starved to death as well.
