As heavy rains swept across the region in southern India’s Chennai, accompanied by sizable hailstorms, residents found a welcomed respite from the scorching temperatures that have persisted in recent days.

The incident took place at Mayanur Karur district on May 5.

Visuals showed amidst the intense nighttime downpour, accompanied by relentless hailstorms, one man held up a large hailstone in his hands, showcasing its impressive size to viewers.

In the sweltering month of May, rainfall has brought relief to the residents of Chennai, as the heavy showers have significantly cooled down the weather.
