An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Ministry of Transport and Highways was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run incident in southern India’s Telangana while under the influence of alcohol.
The incident took place near Nallakunta, Hyderabad on May 18.
Visuals showed the officer’s car collided with a motorcycle, and liquor bottles were found inside the vehicle at the scene.
Despite local residents filing a complaint with the police, their concerns were allegedly ignored. The community has expressed outrage over the perceived inaction by law enforcement officials regarding the incident.
