Indian armed forces celebrate International Yoga Day with enthusiasm in India
Sailors, soldiers, and ITBP personnel mark the occasion with Yoga events across diverse terrains in India.
The incident took place at INS Vikramaditya aircraft carrier on June 21.
Visuals showed on International Yoga Day, a vibrant scene unfolded on the deck of INS Vikramaditya. Participants dressed in color-coordinated attire matching the Yoga Day theme gathered early in the morning. All enthusiastic and eager men, women, and children spread out their mats, also reflecting the theme colors. The group, diverse in age and background, moved harmoniously through various yoga poses, creating a picturesque and serene atmosphere. The sight of uniformed sailors and civilians practicing yoga together against the backdrop of the expansive sea was both inspiring and captivating, showcasing unity and the holistic benefits of yoga.
On International Yoga Day 2024, sailors aboard India’s aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya commenced their day with an early morning yoga session, joined by enthusiastic children, highlighting the significance of yoga for physical and mental well-being.
Simultaneously, Indian Army personnel performed yoga in the challenging icy heights of the northern frontier and Eastern Ladakh. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel participated in yoga sessions at iconic locations like Pangong Tso and Karzok in Leh, and even at the Muguthang Sub Sector in Sikkim, which sits at an altitude exceeding 15,000 feet.
