Man arrives to cast vote at polling station with pet monkey in western India

There are few people in the world who don’t love their pets and a man took it up one notch higher by carrying his to the polling station as he arrived to cast his vote in the Lok Sabha Elections in western India’s Maharashtra.

This incident happened in Wardha constituency on April 26.

Visuals showed the man identified as Vinod Kshirsagar heading towards the polling station to cast his vote with his pet langur (monkey) on his lap. The animal, who was lovingly named ‘Bajrang’, hung onto the man’s shoulder and remained calm and composed as he accompanied him to the polling station. Vinod also stopped on the road to interact with a person and the langur (monkey) remained in his arms.

Polling began in the state of Maharashtra in eight different constituencies, the likes of which include Buldhana, Akola, Amravati, Wardha, Yavatmal-Washim. Hingoli, Nanded, and Parbhani.
