Massive landslide hits northeastern India, disrupts connectivity

Massive landslide disrupts road connectivity to Dibang Valley, in north eastern India’s Arunachal Pradesh.

The calamity occurred near Dibang Valley, near the Indo-China border on April 25.

Footage shows that heavy rain created a landslide that destroyed the road that connected the Dibang valley in Arunachal Pradesh to the rest of the nation. The highway between Hunli and Anini has sustained significant damage as a result of the landslide.

Since this route links the Dibang Valley to the rest of the nation, CM Khandu stated, “Instructions have been issued to restore the connectivity as soon as possible.” The restoration could require three days.

The district administration reportedly warned residents to stay away from landslide-prone regions  due to heavy rainfall.
