A monkey was rescued after it wreaked havoc at a district hospital in central India’s Chhattisgarh.

The incident happened in Korba district on February 14.

Visuals showed renowned snake-catcher Jitendra Sarathi leading the rescue operation. He pacified the monkey by stroking its back. A cage was brought by his colleagues and soon, he put a piece of cloth on the monkey and with the help of another person, put it into the cage. The cage was then put into the back of a truck. According to a report, the monkey created quite a lot of chaos at the hospital, where it injured 12 people.

Soon Sarathi and his team were informed about this and they came to capture and rescue the animal. It wasn’t an easy task and it took a long time for them to catch the monkey. It was learnt that the monkey was released into a dense forest in Korba. Also, several plants have been planted in the forest area so that the wild animals need not come out into the public sphere in search of food.
