Officials rescue families including pregnant woman, child and senior citizens in northern India

In a valorous incident, the rescue team officials rushed to the spot to successfully save a family including a pregnant woman, child and senior citizen in northern India’s Uttarakhand.

The incident took place at Pipli village, Garhwal district on July 11.

 

As per reports, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to the spot of the incident and carried out a rescue operation under the directions of Pravendra Dhasmana upon receiving information of a family being stuck in a flooded area. The rescue team reached the spot and upon initial enquiry found out that the family also included a pregnant woman. The rescue team reached the place of incident and with help of a raft saved the family stuck inside their heavily flooded house and saved a child named Kartik (age 12), pregnant woman named Umesh (age 27), Viramvati (age 82), and Shambhu (age 88) using a raft.

All the affected victims were saved successfully and were brought to a safe place. The alertness and valour of the officials were thanked and applauded by the family and the locals.
