Rescue officials come to the aid of people trapped in waterlogged areas in northern India

Officials of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to the aid of people who were trapped in a water-logged area in northern India’s Uttarakhand.

This happened in Dehradun on August 17.

Visuals showed the rescue officials making their way through the flooded region to rescue the trapped people. The officials waded through the heavily-flooded area to venture into houses in which water had entered. As per a report, a caller named Sushil informed the Disaster Control Room that water had entered the houses.

After receiving orders from commandant Manikant Mishra, the SDRF officials along with chief constable Mohan Singh arrived at the spot with necessary equipment to save the trapped people.

Apart from rescue and relief work, the SDRF also is ensuring proper drainage facilities in these water-logged areas, with the help of excavators.
