Rescue team officials carry out risky operation after car falls into ditch in northern India

In a tragic development, a car accident surfaced after which a rescue team carried out a risky operation in northern India’s Uttarakhand.

The incident took place in Nainital town on July 17.

 

As per reports, a car boarded by a family of seven belonging to Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) was travelling in the Kaladhungi area when it met a tragic accident and fell into a ditch near the Priya band around midnight. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was informed about the accident along with the police officials under the supervision of team leader Shri Manikant Mishra reached the spot of incident along with necessary equipment.

The SDRF officials upon reaching the spot of the accident made its way till the car that had fallen in a deep ditch and under the supervision of sub-inspector Manish Bhakuni, rescued the five injured members of the family and sent them to the nearest hospital for further treatment. Two of the other members of the family died on the spot and their bodies were also recovered after hours of struggle.

Rajeev Srivastava (25)
