A snake was captured and rescued after it was spotted at a popular Sarvamangala temple in central India’s Chhattisgarh.

The incident occurred in the Korba district on February 22.

Visuals showed snake catcher Jitendra Sarathi capture the reptile. He used an iron rod to bring out the reptile from behind an almirah in a room, which was a protest at Mayank Pandey’s residence and then brought it out in the open. He then carefully put it inside a plastic container and closed its lid. According to a report, the snake has been spotted at the temple in the past few days.

However, the snake catcher was informed after it was found inside the priest’s residence. The reptile didn’t harm anyone and was released into the forest after being captured.
