Swarm of bees attack youths at fort in central India, several injuries reported

Celebrations at a picnic soon turned into a tragic experience after a swarm of bees attacked a group of youths in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.

This incident took place at the Asirgarh fort in Burhanpur on April 13.

Visuals showed the youths running for cover as the swarm of bees launched an attack at them. The insects were relentless in their attack and didn’t let go, flying about the whole area as the men covered their heads and ran away to save their lives.

Some were seen sitting as well as lying by the sides of the road where this happened and it was a completely chaotic situation. According to a report, the aggressive bees left a minimum of 25 people injured. All of them were rushed to a district hospital and a report states that out of these 25, eight were in a critical condition. The authorities came up with a prompt response to the attack with police forces and ambulances rushing to the spot to aid the injured. Locals who were at the fort also were involved in the chaos. It was learnt that all of this was caused when one of these men threw a stone at a beehive.
