Three-year-old girl rescued after she fell into borewell in central India

A three-year-old girl was rescued after she fell into a 35 ft deep borewell while playing, in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.

The incident is reported to have happened in the Bijawar police station area of Chhatarpur district on February 26.

Visuals showed the rescue operation in progress. The girl, identified as Nancy Vishwakarma was trapped inside the borewell and her condition was being checked upon with the help of a monitor and cameras. Excavators were used to dig up the land in order to rescue the child.

According to a report, a total of five excavators were used to dig a hole parallel to that of the borewell and the girl was eventually taken out as she held on to a rope.

She was seen being rushed to an ambulance which took her to the hospital.
