Woman caught with paramour, punished by husband for extramarital affair in central India

A woman was punished by her husband for an extramarital affair in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place in Borpadaw village in Bagli tehsil of Dewas district on July 3.

Visuals showed a man sitting on a woman’s shoulder while the latter carried her. A few people were seen surrounding them. They were seen holding the man so that he did not fall from the top.

According to reports, the husband crossed all limits of ruthlessness after finding out about his wife’s extra-marital affair.

He first beat her up badly, pulled her hair, and slammed her on the ground too. He later sat on her shoulder and took out a procession across the village. He also garlanded his wife with shoes.

It is being said that the woman had gone missing from the house a week ago. Her husband and in-laws searched for her, but to no avail. When not found, a missing report was filed at Udayanagar Police Station. On Sunday, July 3, someone informed the husband that his wife was at her boyfriend’s house in the village itself.

After this, the husband and in-laws reached the paramour’s house looking for her. There the woman was found hidden in a box. The husband took her out and beat her up in front of the entire village. Barring just one or two people, most of the people remained spectators.

The police have now sent the woman to her maternal home.

The victim was married at the age of just 15. The 30-year-old woman has two daughters and a son. The elder daughter is 13 years old and the younger is 10 years old. The son is eight years old. It is being said that a few days ago the children had seen their mother with her paramour. They informed this to their father. A quarrel between the husband and wife broke out over this after which she left the house.

After the video of this incident surfaced, the police took action against the accused. Dewas Additional SP Suryakant Sharma said that an FIR has been registered against 11 people- Mukesh, Chitaram, Rahul, Nanuram, Gabbar, Balu, Bholia, Dharmendra, Karan, and Chhotu and one identified.
