Women perform traditional dance in freezing temperatures in northern India

Women from northern India’s Himachal Pradesh performed the traditional Kinnauri dance in freezing conditions.

The incident happened at the Roula Cliff in Kinnaur on November 19.

Visuals showed the women dancing to the tunes of local traditional music in the area. Despite the cold weather, with a minus five-degree temperature, they didn’t seem to be deterred by it as they performed the dance joyfully, wearing the traditional local costumes and jewellery.

One man was also seen joining women, who are from the Nichar village, in this performance. It was learnt that tourists who were at the spot, were enthralled by the dance performance.

According to a report, this is the first time that so many women of the district have come together to put on a joint dance performance. It was said that these women had come from a wedding ceremony and performed the dance on the spot despite the freezing cold atmosphere.
